Our dry spirits changing
our bodies moving
or so it seemed
each time he dipped the bucket
pulling another full
up from the well
before us
drinking the waters
the loving word of God
dipping his bucket
filling his vessel
pouring out the message
the living message of Christ
dipping in deeper
pouring out the Spirit
drenching our dry bones
quickening our hearts
feeling the waters
washing over us
dipping his bucket
that our thirst would be quenched
that we would be filled
filled to overflowing
that we in turn would pour
sharing the living waters
