Christ’s words, harsh words
stark distinction
We are of the world
He is of the skies
so different than you and me
of the Spirit, of clay
the distance of God and man
How I wish I could shout
to tell God, Christ
that I am not made of this stuff;
Born for heaven above
wanting only to walk with him
all the days of my life
wanting to bear his witness
wherever I am sent
going freely, joyfully
in response to his great love
