what happens in this well

The sanctuary, the church
a well for the living waters
coming tired, hungry
thirsty for God’s blessing
what happens in this well
each and every Sunday
a gathering, together
to drink of the waters
never to be hungry,
thirsting no more
yet coming to drink
to splash in the waters
to be healed, restored
alive with the Spirit’s power
to go, to serve, to share
Christ’s healing message
to someone downstream
thirsting for the water
