A Thread in the waters

connected, one to another
all the believers in time
standing in the waters
from the first one
by the well with him
those who came before
all of them that lived
a thread in the waters
you and I in our time
connected to those before us
those yet to come
standing in the waters
the continuum of time
the believers who have gone before
the ones we will leave behind
