to meet Jesus at the well

the prayer of the saints
those gone before us
living upstream
from the present age
building a well
this building, we sit in
this place of worship
hungry and tired,
seeking his Spirit
to meet Jesus
here at this well
to drink of the waters
to be filled, to overflowing
to go out into the world
to be poured, as a blessing
blessed in turn
sharing the living waters
the well ever full
welling up within us
