propping up their enemy,
granting them power,
the ability to bleed, to infiltrate
the civilian population,
to plant seeds of their rebellion,
Martyrdom, festering to a boil...
invoking ancient scripture,
a messianic calling to drive
his own agenda, his power,
fomenting insurrection,
their land become a prison,
a self-fulfilling prophecy,
generations in that hell…
