Eyes of a target – v2

I have seen this before,
a brother on guard, cautious,
standing at the ready, able,
to be the sword when he had too…
 
You too have eyes of a target,
darting around the room, fitful,
not settled, at peace,
watching every move…
 
Surveying the room,
watching for an enemy,
on guard but on task,
for whatever may come…
 
Something not right, guarded,
eyes of a target, searching,
not at peace where you are,
though you belong here…
 
I have seen you, unnoticed,
many time I have watched
you have the eyes of a target
constantly watching the room…
 
Now, not as much, as often,
Some threat has abated,
But you remain vigilant,
For what may yet come…
