My spirit aches for you

Only hearing the chime,

the sound of a text from you
your image in the flickering screen
your face, your voice, your presence…
 
My spirit aches for you, sweetheart,
I long to hold you closely,
to hear your heart beating with me,
to kiss your beautiful lips…
 
How I long to drink in your eyes,
to see your love shining with mine,
wanting all of you, only you,
my love, my one heart’s desire…
 
My spirit aches to be with you, now,
though we are separated by distance,
the crucible of these days will be crossed,
we will taste our prayer of togetherness…
