when the demons come

pain, fear, temptation,
spirits that stalk us,
minions of the Devil, of Satan,
that separate us from God…
 
share your burdens, your struggles,
don’t carry your stones alone,
reach out to one another
when the demons come…
 
pain, fear, temptation,
all seek to divide us,
fighting against our best selves,
separating us from God…
 
reach out to your kinsmen,
when burdens are too heavy,
God has put them on your path,
to help you carry the load…
 
pain, fear, temptation,
are part of Satan’s tactics
but our God is forgiving, loving,
nothing can separate us from God…
