When I see the Enemy approaching
the battle raging within me
a fight or flight moment
letting my flesh take control…
 
I need to prepare for battle,
to withstand the slings and arrows,
I must prepare, I must arm myself,
to defeat my fears, my passions…
 
Every attack is from Satan
seeking to harm, to kill me,
I must put on the armor
of scripture, of God’s holy Word…
 
Only from that place of protection
that holy sense of peace
Am I able I rise victorious
from my passions, my fears,
my flesh, my disbelief…
