I release my hold on his throat
the first-born of my judgment
the one who hurt me the most
through my life’s journey…
 
Only God can forgive
the one perfect judge
Sovereign over creation
over time and space itself…
 
I now stand in agreement
forgiving what God has forgiven
I no longer see myself
standing on a banana peel…
 
Only God can forgive
and He does through Christ Jesus
I no longer am condemned
through my risen Lord and Savior…
