we quarrel, we fight,
we struggle in this life,
our passions, our anger
getting the better of us….
 
we live by the flesh
making ourselves idols
we cleave to our passions
turning away from God…
 
our passions, our anger,
warring factions, fighting,
wanting to be right
to be in control…
 
we must turn,
we must surrender,
we must submit our lives,
our wills to God…
 
only in turning,
from our passions, our anger,
can we walk with God,
with our risen Lord…
