breathe into us, Lord, God,
speak into our minds, our spirits,
in answer to whispered prayers…
show us the pearls, the glass shards,
grains of sand under scar tissues
into our minds, our consciousness,
ancient memories entwined,
rising, ascendant, shining,
real-time healing, building together,
answering the questions, “Why?”,
that were never spoken, hidden,
deep healing possible, real,
When we will listen to You…
 
scar tissue exposed, under the layers,
Beauty and darkness melded,
peeling the onion to its depths,
to find the lessons, the questions,
answers so deeply hidden,
what we have carried, heavy,
for all these many years,
our boundaries, our fissures,
cracks in identity, autonomy,
who we believe we are, the stones
We carry, heavy, unwanted,
that spills out as anger,
our need to be right…
