arm me for the challenge
the moment before it happens
prepare my heart within me
change me before the battle
so the enemy does not defeat me…
 
guard my heart, oh God,
put Your hedge of protection around me,
fill the hedge with the blood of Christ
infuse me with Your Spirit
I give You my life, control…
 
arm me before the battle
with the armor of holy scripture
clad me with Your Word,
that I might witness, that I may testify
to Your goodness, Your protection…
 
save me in this fight
in the war on earth raging
the attacks of the Enemy
no match for Your protection,
protect me now, oh Lord…
