How can we be open #poetry #God #Christ #Spirit #sin #confession #repentance

our fear of man defiles us,
holding us in chains,
our weak flesh defeats us,
condemning us to the grave…
 
their judgment is nothing,
every reproof has been paid,
the love of Christ defines us,
we are risen from the grave…
 
we must welcome reproof,
rebuke not itself evil,
we must listen for wisdom,
to draw us closer to God…
 
we have been freed of these chains,
so do not reclaim them,
use what they seek to harm you,
to bring you to Christ, God’s Son…
